Our client is a pub­lic lim­ited com­pany, es­tab­lished in 1994 in the Nether­lands with full bank­ing li­cense and has around 1,100 em­ploy­ees in 7 coun­tries. It op­er­ates 27 branches, 57 ATMs and around 8,200 point of sale ter­mi­nals. More than 900,000 re­tail and cor­po­rate cus­tomers around the world en­trust their fi­nan­cial af­fairs to the Bank.

They are implementing the new, compelling corporate story and have developed a communication plan to support the bank with impactful internal communications and to help deliver the new ‘one company’ vision.

In order to roll out this communications plan, they are looking for a Sr. Communications Advisor, initially on ad interim basis, who will set up and focus on the consistent and continues drumbeat of communication to keep the company goals top of mind and all employees engaged.

As the Communications Advisor, you will mainly focus on internal communications with the following goals:

  • Develop and maintain a consistent communications drumbeat throughout the organization. This will include setting up and maintaining all current and future channels
  • Implementing the (internal) communication plan and further developing related programs
  • Conceptualizing, organizing and elaborating events such as quarterly updates and employee events
  • Develop and execute HR communications (in close cooperation with HR)
  • Advise all other departments and subsidiaries on their internal communication
  • Advise on CEO positioning
  • Advise on positioning leadership and strategy
  • Advise on leadership communication
  • Write speeches and pointers for senior management when addressing employees

To be successful, they want you to bring the following knowledge, experience and skills:

  • A proven track record in setting up and leading communication departments, or divisions within departments such as internal communications
  • Strong focus on employee alignment, measurements and employee surveys
  • Fast, accurate, creative and versatile writing skills, including for digital media
  • Strong ability to see newsworthy stories quickly and easily
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Can-do mentality, able to deliver
